Product Update: Integration Manager’s New Self-Service Features Enable Faster, Easier Onboarding

The faster you can get connected, the faster you can deliver value. That’s why we’re excited to introduce three powerful self-service capabilities in Integration Manager, all designed to streamline onboarding and get your team operational in under an hour.

The old days of exchanging tickets and back-and-forth emails to connect networks, set up user authentication, and configure permissions are a thing of the past. These new self-service features empower our customers to onboard securely, simply, and on their schedule.

Self-Service VPN Configuration

Our new self-service IPsec VPN setup makes it easy to establish a secure, private tunnel between your infrastructure and your PortX environment.

  • Now: Fill out a quick form in Integration Manager, establish the connection, and you’re online — often in less than an hour.
  • Benefit: Faster go-live with secure, tenant-isolated connectivity, without waiting on a single support ticket.

Enterprise SSO (Single Sign-On)

Provide your users with a seamless login experience using your existing identity provider — no PortX-specific credentials required.

  • Supports Okta, Azure, PingID, Google, and more.
  • Works with both SAML and OIDC protocols.
  • Benefit: Immediate, secure access for your team, reduced password reset requests, and centralized user management.
  • Impact: Saves approximately eight minutes per user per month over using password and multi-factor authentication (MFA) alone.

Custom Roles

Empower your business and IT teams to create and manage application-specific roles directly in Integration Manager.

  • Define groups visually in a simple table-based interface.
  • Assign single or multiple roles to users, controlling permissions at the API Gateway level.
  • Perfect for applications with nuanced access needs, like Payment Manager, where roles can enforce transaction limits or gate specific actions.
  • Benefit: Business leaders decide who can do what; IT implements in minutes — no custom coding required.

Why This Matters

Integration Manager’s new self-service features allow financial institutions to set up VPN connectivity, enable SSO, and configure custom roles in under an hour — without waiting on support tickets. The result is faster time-to-value, stronger security through centralized identity and encrypted tunnels, and more precise access control at the API level. This update helps our customers move quickly, reduce risk, and focus on delivering better digital experiences to their members and customers by freeing IT from repetitive setup tasks and giving business leaders confidence in secure access.
